Versa Body Kits

This model is Nissan's current entry-level model in North America, while the Nissan Sentra, the previous entry-level model, moved upmarket with its latest redesign. While both the this model and Sentra are essentially compact cars, the Versa's competition includes subcompacts such as the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris, while the Sentra is positioned against the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.

The North American Car debuted at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in January of the same year. The hatchback model was introduced first, with the sedan arriving later at the end of the year. Both vehicles are 2007 models. This model is powered by a 1.8 L I4MR series engine producing 122 hp (91 kW) and 127 ft•lbf (170 N•m). Three transmissions are offered: a 4-speed automatic, a continuously variable transmission, and a 6-speed manual. It is the only car in its class (in the North American market) to offer a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment.

Ground Effects Materials

There are several materials used in the production of body kits, aerodynamics, ground effects and other exterior styling accessories. ABS Plastic (Acrylinitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a rigid type of plastic infused with other chemicals. This type of material is good for ground effects or lip kits. Carbon fiber is a rigid and very lightweight kevlar reinforced material, a hot trend in the tuning market but very expensive due to supply shortages for the material. Fiberglass is the most common material used in the manufacturing of materials because it is lightweight, easy to make and inexpensive.
